Camp Euforia 2010 July 16 day 1

This year was my first time to Camp Euforia, and it will not be the last! What started in 2004 as a fan appreciation show, put on by Euforquestra as a free event, has turned into a full on festival. The weather was hot and sticky as usual for Iowa in July, but that didn't stop anyone from having a great time.

It took a little help from the fork lift to get the top of the stage to work properly.
Brian showing what his job was for the weekend, Serious Business!
The first band to hit the stage was Dr. Z's Experiment, playing the Iowa City Yacht Club stage.

Next up on the MC Ginsberg Stage, or Main Stage, was the Henhouse Prowlers.

I caught Up with Lick It Ticket while they were playing a song for a video interview with Erika Iverson for the insider sessions, check out her work here.
After the interview, Lick It Ticket played the Barn Stage.

Next up was the Main Event for the first night of the festival, Euforquestra.
Tonight's show featured special guest from the Motet and Juno What, Joey Porter on the Keys, which always means its gonna get a little extra funky!

Live Painter, Jeredt Runions was painting it up, I recently spent about an hour checking out is work on his facebook page, very creative stuff!

Public Property was next in the Barn, and played host to Grosso's second set of the weekend, only for this one he was on the bass.

Back over to the main stage now with Juno What?!

It wasn't long before some familiar guests showed up,

Night 1 closed out with a late night set by Heatbox, the solo beatbox machine, Rahzell eat your heart out!
