Euforquestra Live at the Fox Theatre with Jet Edison and Boom Chicken

Another great night of music in Boulder, October 12, 2011. Boom Chicken started off the night with a smokin set of their take on classic blugrass with a mando, banjo, guitar and upright bass. The Shredding electric Guitar started next with Boulder's own Jet Edison who really got the crowd moving and energy high. The night hit its peak with Euforquestra, one of the tightest shows I have seen them play in a while, the band was really together. Shredding guitar, and keys, a pair of Stanky saxes and one of the tightest rythm sections going, if you don't know, I'm telling you, GO SEE THIS BAND!!!

420 Boulder

After years of hearing about the festivities that take place at the Norlin Quadrangle, a large grassy field in the heart of campus at CU Boulder, on the 20th of April at 4:20 pm, I decided I needed to check it out. I also understand that playboy named boulder as the #1 Party school in the country, and stated the 420 smoke out was one of the reasons. I joined thousands of students, graduates, grey hairs and teens, and watched as the campus went up in smoke!

String Cheese Incident Winter Carnival 3/12/11 Day 3

For the last day of the String Cheese Incident's Winter Carnival, the costume contest was over. I decided I would set up the studio backstage and photograph some of the performers.
During the show, It felt like a SCI New Years celebration or even a Hornings Hideout event. They had a huge parade through the middle of the crowd, it was a show like no other band could put on! Thanks to Moving Parts Productions, Madison House Presents, and All Phases event group for the amazing show!

String Cheese Incident Winter Carinval 3/10/11, Day 1

3/10/11 marked the first day of this years Winter Carnival, one of my favorite springtime events. Normally for the Winter Carnivals, and the String Cheese Incident, I shoot the show and cover it that way, but this year the band asked me to photograph their costume contest here are a few of my favorite shots.

Big Head Blues Club NoCoast.tv

We got a last minute call from Big Head Todd and the Monsters, wondering if we could shoot a multi-cam shoot of a show in Mississippi. We had a gig the day before shooting with Vibram in Boulder, so it was a bit of a "Mission-impossible", but we said of course we can! The vibram shoot had us working the USA Climbing Championships till around 12 midnight. We then rushed home to dump cards and get in a quick sleep for our 6:15am flight the next day.
The show in Mississippi was a tribute to the late great Bluesman, Robert Johnson, called Blues at the Crossroads, and featured the Big Head Blues Club, Big head Todd and the Monsters with David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Hubert Sumlin, Cedric Burnside, and Lightnin' Malcom.
